What Is the No More Room in Hell 2 Armageddon Update?

Armageddon is the 1.0 update that took No More Room in Hell 2 out of Early Access on August 11, 2026. It launched alongside the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions and enabled crossplay across every current platform.

What New Modes Were Added in 1.0?

Survival Mode

Survival is a faster, more chaotic experience with three dedicated launch maps: Flooded, Night of the Living Dead, and Lighthouse. It sits alongside the objective-focused Scenario Mode.

Solo Mode

Solo Mode lets independent Responders practice and learn on every map. A guided tutorial with combat and objective training was also added for new players.

What New Maps Were Added in 1.0?

Raven Rock became the sixth Objective map. It is set around an underground military installation in southern Pennsylvania and uses a different flow from the previous locations.

The three dedicated Survival maps are Flooded, Night of the Living Dead, and Lighthouse.

What Changed With Progression and Responders?

The 1.0 launch reset account level, Credits, Nightmare Tokens, Responders, loadouts, and cosmetics other than earned Early Access rewards.

After the reset:

• Nightmare Tokens are tracked per Responder.
• Account level communicates access to gear and skills.
• Weekly Assignments reward Credits and Merits.
• Merits provide a more direct path to cosmetic purchases.
• Character-level requirements were removed from loadout items.
• the perk pool gained firearm-reloading perks and retired several old perks.
• customization received more options and adjustments.

What Changed With Crossplay and Console Support?

The game launched on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with crossplay for PC and both console families. Native controller support was added to PC for 1.0.

What Should Returning Early Access Players Know?

The account wipe means Early Access progression does not carry forward, with the documented exception of earned Early Access cosmetic rewards. Returning players should begin with the tutorial, review the new economy, and rebuild Responders and loadouts under the 1.0 system.

Armageddon also added platform achievements, a Rescue Beacon that can protect an equipped Responder from a death, and expanded customization.
